Amazing sushi dinner! Our chef, Sean, was great. He told us all about the different pieces of sushi that he had prepared and he was wonderful to talk to - very friendly! The atmosphere was perfect and the sushi was so delicious! ????
First time here and did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and delightful. All the staff were amazing. Max our sushi chef was very professional too. Loved this place and will definitely comeback.
The food and service is top notched. They have taken serious COVID precautions. There are glass partitions at the bar and they had the customers sitting far from each other. All staff wore masks and had sanitizer readily available at the entrance.The sushi was delicious and almost art like 10/10 would recommend.
The best sushi in Austin! We went here 3 times this week alone. Uchi is good but Junai is another level - super fresh, big portions and great value! The staff, including Max and Sunny were always super friendly!
Highly recommend this place. Came here for my wife’s birthday. So glad we did. We had the full Omakase experience with 15 dishes. Each dish just got better and better as we progressed. Sean was awesome and great at educating us on what we were eating and very knowledgeable about each dish. Great atmosphere. Beautiful cherry blossom trees inside with a large wrap around bar where you can watch the chefs as your meals are prepared. Will be back!
We had the Pearl Special and the Salmonholic rolls. Both were delicious. We ordered another Pearl. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely make this a regular stop when I'm back in Austin.
Update: Due to the covid-19, I hadn't visited Junai since early Feb 2020. Came into visit in Dec 2nd 2020, to try the Omakase experience and I felt assured in the precautions they've taken for covid allowing me to simply enjoy the food. The Omakase experience was a rich tapastery flavor. Each dish was elegantly presented, which I've come to expect from this establishment. My original review still stands. Original post: Simply amazing. I've been here a few times since they opened for lunch. Dishes are beautifully presented with a taste that is second to none.
Best sushi happy hour! Went with two friends and we loved the whole experience. Food was great. Service was fast and fun. Highly recommend.
Little hole in the wall right down the capital and above a jazz bar, but I seriously recommend this place ! The servers are super nice , the chefs take the time to get to know you and just make the experience one of a kind . Here's a cute dish with small edible crabs that look like they're dancing !
